Caesar’s English II Classical Education Edition is the third book in Michael Clay Thompson’s vocabulary curriculum. It is divided into quarters based on the four parts of grammar analysis. The vocabulary component is based on the Latin stems and lists of nonfiction words made from the stems. Vocabulary is loaded into all the activities and there are new vocabulary terms added to the stem lessons: five new words in each lesson. Caesar’s English II CEE is full of new photographs, poetry to help students feel the Roman experience, an expanded emphasis on the vocabulary of non-fiction, new Caesar’s writing activities, and fun Caesar’s math problems.
Sections include Classic Words, Latin Stems, Nonfiction Words, Caesar’s Analogies, Caesar’s Synonyms, Caesar’s Antonyms, Caesar’s Context, Caesar’s Grammar, Caesar’s Mathematics, Caesar’s Essay, and Caesar’s Word Searches. Each chapter concludes with a Review for Cumulative Quiz. There is a substantial emphasis on the geography of the Roman world with additional essays by Myriam Borges Thompson and Thomas Milton Kemnitz.
This digital edition includes many interactive activities such as word searches, word challenges, analogies, sentence analysis, and stem and classic word reviews.
